Starfish Centre -stereomicroscopy test

A trial stereo-view of the centre of a small starfish, about 1/10th inch (3 mm) across. Taken as a test of concept after seeing a talk on stereomicroscopy today at the Stereoscopic Society Virtual Conference. I used an Olympus stereo microscope, lowest resolution, and the images taken cha-cha by hand-held Sony A6000 shooting through the eye-pieces. I am quite encouraged by the result, and will now work on ensuring better technique and consistency.

It is indeed promising.
As mentioned in the talk, focus stacking would help to get better image if you manage to do it.
Also the alignment of the views is quite challenging. With such tricky image, automatic alignment will likely fail, and you better use a program that allows to identify homologous points manually.
