A few kilometers further on, Dettifoss with its 44-metre-high waterfall is said to be the largest in Iceland, and will probably peak at the end of June, since all this water comes from the melting of Iceland's largest glacier, the Vatnajökull, which, of course, is also a victim of global warming. Still, it's a real head turner!
