Although noted as a tourist attraction, Ófærufoss is only accessible to real 4x4 vehicles, so it's not crowded. But that wasn't on the agenda. It was the all-green volcano Maelifell that was planned, but a closed track prevented access, and it was a ranger who suggested this grandiose site, as you'll see in the following video.
