Redoute de Merville

This former military building was erected at Merville-Franceville Plage, France in 1780 in order to monitor the mouth of the Orne river, for the protection of the coastline against English incursions. At the time, it was surrounded by the sea at high tide and is now in the middle of the dunes. Another notable usage of the building was during the Second World War, when it was incorporated into the German Atlantic Wall system. Today, after several periods of usage and abandon leading to ruins, it is restored and can be visited during summer.
The photo was taken by drone using cha-cha technique, and the outline of the stereoscopic window was drawn manually.

A fine achievement, despite the difficulty of correctly positioning a drone.
