Black Cat Books & Oddities in Medina, OH is a unique book store.

Split between two older houses just off the central business district, it holds an eclectic collection of books and gifts aimed towards people who enjoy the unusual. It specializes in fiction, romance, fantasy and sci Fi, has huge children's collection, lots of non-fiction, Books about NE Ohio, witchy and curious books and lots of gifts including puzzles, games, candles, mugs and even plushies.

The managers are knowledgable and great to talk with. Black Cat Books is deeply involved in the NE Ohio book community with workshops and events such as the Big Ohio book Con. It also hosts a collection of banned books and supports local authors.

The decor, as you can see in my photos, is definitely unusual.
