Started 3d stereo photography in 2012. Mostly nature subjects - flowers insects birds etc. Specialised in macro images of insects. Initially photos where using cha-cha method. For macro of insects , I built a mechanical aid to take rapid photos from slightly
different angles ( 40 photos per second ). I would choose, one for left and one for right, which gave me the best photos for 3d effect and good alignment. I relied on the insect not moving for a period of about half to one second. On the whole this worked well.I later built a rig using a half-mirror , this allowed macro stereo images and macro stereo video clips using high-speed video cameras ( 240 images per second ).
