Although I've been taking stereo photos for over 20 years, I still consider myself an amateur stereo photographer. In 2000, like many others, I began with the cha-cha method. Soon, I mounted two identical digital cameras on a board (Canon Powershot A40) and tried to synchronize them to take photos as synchronously as possible.

Later, I discovered the Canon Hack Development Kit, which enables controlling Canon cameras via USB with simple electronics. I applied this to various Canon cameras:

-Powershot AA460
-Powershot A610
-Powershot SX20
-Ixus 70

The Ixus 70, in particular, works well. It's small, compact, and very versatile. With this camera, I've built various frames in combination with my 3D printer.
Through photography, I've amassed over 3500 stereo photos over the years. I'll be uploading my best photos to this website in the coming time.

Hoewel ik al meer dan 20 jaar stereo foto's maak, beschouw ik mijzelf nog steeds als een amateur stereo fotograaf. In 2000 startte ik, zoals zoveel anderen met de chacha methode.
Al snel monteerde ik twee dezelfde digital camera's op een plankje (Canon Powershot A40) en probeerde de camera's zo synchroon mogelijk foto's te laten maken.
Later ontdekte ik Canon Hack Development Kit, waarmee Canon camera's via USB zijn aan te sturen met eenvoudige electronica. Dit heb ik toegepast op verschillende soorten Canon camera's:
- Powershot AA460
- Powershot A610
- Powershot SX20
- Ixus 70

Vooral de Ixus 70 bevalt goed. Hij is klein en compact en erg verkant. Met deze camera heb ik diverse frames gebouwd in combinatie met mijn 3D printer.

Al fotograferend heb ik in totaal ruim 3500 stereo foto's in de loop der jaren bij elkaar geschoten. De komende tijd zal ik op deze website mijn mooiste foto's uploaden.
