As a fan of stereo pictures ever since my childhood, I started taking such pictures myself in 1995 using FED and Stereo Realist cameras. From 2008 onwards these were complemented with an RBT made digital rig with two hardwired Nikon Coolpix compacts. After the Nikons' sensors got defunct, I switched to home-made rigs using different types of Canon compacts with SDM. For some time I used one of these (based on the XS260HS model) to take 3D pictures of wildlife, mainly birds. Nowadays I use a Sony RX10 Mark III based rig for the same purpose. Some examples of pictures taken with each of these rigs are presented at this site.
