This is the pool at the base of Haew Narok Waterfall in Khao Yai National park. In March of this year it was almost totally dry with only a trickle of water making it over the falls. However last October in the rainy season it was a major torrent. At that time a herd of elephants got caught up in the river and carried over the falls.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-49944885 It says six elephants died but later they found several more and the total was eleven dead.
At about 4:40 in this video you can see what the falls look like in the rainy season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5iEA0seD7o
