Fasan plumage iridescence

Stereoscopic imaging is not just for showing depth effects. Iridescence is a uniquely stereoscopic visual effect which is no more presentable in 2d photography than is depth. Iridescence is the perception felt where at any given point on a surface, the left eye will see one color, and simultaneously the right eye will see a different color. Butterfly wings, some bird feathers, some beetle carapaces, and other natural surfaces can exhibit this visual effect.
