The tomb of Martin Van Buren Bates and Anna Bates a married Giant and Giantess graces the cemetery of Seville, Ohio. The pair met at P.T. Barnum's shows. He was 7'8" and she was 8'1" though he outweighed her by several hundred pounds. Anna pre-deceased Martin and he ordered this tomb for her and was later buried by her side as well. I have loved this tomb for many and was happy to return there in 2024 and I think this "broken" version of the statue is more interesting than just a straight on image.
