This is a detail of an anechoic chamber.
This scientific room is suspended on dampers and its walls, ground and ceiling are covered with form cones to avoid sound reflection and noise coming from the outside. The silence is very good inside with all the frequencies cut down to 100Hz for acoustic measures. There is a grid at mid-height on which we can walk to install the experiments, and that can be removed for measures that need extra precision.
This is a photo I developed a while ago. The alignment is not as good as I would do now and there are small window violations here and there. Interesting to notice how I improved my technique in the meanwhile.
