The Root Of My Problem #1

I am recording my Oculus Rift with the Oculus Mirror and OBS, which gives me a square image. The horizontal field of view of the Rift is about 100 degrees, and viewing this recorded image with that field of view is problematic, to say the least. This is why I prefer to zoom in and crop, which tends to make things like camera shake more noticeable.

Stereopix handles non-standard aspect ratios of images, so that you could crop the extra borders (except the part to adjust the stereo window here).
Actually it would be better because some people have difficulties to fuse separated images in freeview, and those large borders create artificial separation in X and P modes.
Furthermore, the viewer also adapts the scaling to display the images as big as possible: with such borders, it limits the size to be able to display those extra black areas.
Notice that if you want to center the image in each half, it is better to use the dedicated viewer setting rather than trying to encode it in the images.
