On the rise toward Chinon's fortress

Here we are just at the start of the bridge which brings us to the fortress of Chinon, France. Looking backward to the east, we see the Saint Mexme Collegiate Church in the background and people on the rise from the city to the gigantic castle. The synchronization is poor but the landscape is beautiful enough to outweigh it. I had to manually remove a raptor behind the church though.
I tried to compose the scene to emphasize color harmony: the oranges of the rocks, greens of the trees and blues of atmospheric haze. Apart from this dominant colors that work well together, there are some touches of red and purple that really add something to the photograph. Also, the picture has a lot of small details everywhere so that the gaze can wander but has still big structures that help the brain to not be overwhelmed by those details.
