Steam-punk acoustic instruments

These steam-punk-looking curiosities are real acoustic stringed instruments. A small metallic membrane at the base receives the vibrations of the strings and transmit them to a big horn used for amplification. The public is visible behind because the players were walking in the crowd so that everybody can have the chance to see them. They got a 360° public.

Fantastic! Asa Bass player myself I wonder what the band would think if I turned up with that one. I guess the smaller instrument is a Cello.
A well presented image with not to much manipulation involved. I love it!
